Since I got a new computer, I thought I'd show off what Windows 7 looks like.
This is my desktop
At the top in the middle, I have a "Docking Bar" If I want. I can drag any icon I want and put it up there, or I can drag it to the Quick Launch Bar.
My desktop wallpaper is actually a slideshow. Every 30 minutes, the picture changes automatically. I've got several different images I can choose from.
On the bottom right, if you can see it, that little flag is called, Action Center. It alerts me to anything going on that I don't know about. Mostly, it lets me know when Windows updates. Also, if you look close enough, the little light at the bottom is from me putting my mouse over it. All the buttons light up like that when I put my mouse over it.
This is my start menu.......
When I click on, All Programs, it looks like this.........
At the top on the right side of the start menu, where it says, user, (that's me), it looks like this
I think this is the best feature of all. The folder that's on the Quick Launch bar is Windows Explorer. If I have a few different folders open and I minimize them and put my mouse on top of it, it looks like this.
All I have to do is, click on any one of them and POOF!, it's restored.
I went from XP to Windows 7. I never experienced Vista. So, this all new to me. I still have a lot of exploring to do.
I'm still amazed.........

Congrats on the new toy, you should be able to overload your Downloads Folder now, load times should be pretty quick as well.

By the way when are you going to give us the specs of the new comp?

After talking to several different people online, I got so many conflicting opinions that I just about went stir crazy. I was very frustrated and aggrivated. I kept saying to myself, a person shouldn't have to go through all this just to play a blanking game! So, I walking into BestBuy, looked for a computer with a NVIDIA GeForce card and bought it.
It's a HP Pavillion.
AMD Athlon II Quad Core. 2.60 GHz
6GB of DDR2 memory.
NVIDIA GeForce 9100 256 MB (I have access to 3GB of extra memory if I need it) Yes, it's integrated.
640 GB hard drive.
In the end, money was a factor. Since I haven't worked in over two years and I have no income whatsoever coming in. I had to watch my budget.
Plus, it was on sale.
